BASTIAN BUCKS ‘GET HEAVY’ MUSIC VIDEO/ SINGLE
‘Get Heavy’ is the 2nd music video/ single release, from Melbourne based producer/ rapper Bastian Bucks’. Filmed in the forests of Berlin, Germany during a tour across Europe in late 2017. ‘Get Heavy’ is an extract from Bastian’s forthcoming album ‘This Machine Kills Dreams’, due for release in March 2018.
“ ‘Get Heavy’ serves as a commentary on my life, as an artist and as a person. The idea when writing the album has been to share my experiences with the audience, to give an understanding of just where I am coming from. I wanted to approach this concept with conviction, objectively.
Pop culture, cartoons, music, video games and film have all played a part in moulding how I present my art. ‘Get Heavy’ is reflective and in reference to this.”
– Bastian Bucks

Last week saw the arrival of my latest album ‘Golly Gosh’. Which is now available on all reputable digital outlets. I have taken this album back to my early roots and just wanted to make something in the moment, without over analysing anything too much. And after spending a few months of producing/ writing/ mixing/ mastering the album, this is what I came up with.
I honestly think this is just one of those one off things. Something I won’t try to replicate or dissect. It is now my favourite album and reflects me completely. I’m sure my outlook will continue to change, as it always has. But I will forever very proud to give this to you.
‘Golly Gosh’ is available via iTunes, Google Play, Spotify and many other digital platforms. Physical copies are available via my Bandcamp

This is my second full length album and my first solo project. All music and vocals were recorded at Wordsmiths Records.
So I asked all our fans to send in photo’s of themselves which we then turned into a mosaic.
The name “Painted Landscape” is a reference to our cultural diversity within Australia, that we all make up the landscape we live in. I then decided to hit up fans to choose a color out of 15 choices. the 15 colors represent the 15 songs on the album which we are still shooting clips for. 15 clips, 15 colors chosen by fans which represent their choice. I wanted to involve people as much as possible in this. So far we have released 2 film clips and are currently shooting the next one. I hope you enjoy this album, I love it! This album features work from my long standing drummer Casey Morrison. We successfully launched and released this album in September last year. I was pretty angry about the world, how things are, how many people don’t care about what is going on around them. So we put this whole psychological mess together and put it in an album. There is some very dark stuff on here but also uplifting moments that really reflect who me and Casey are as people and music lovers. I did most of the mixing on this album before sending it off for mastering, what a nightmare, I vowed after this album to leave all the mixing and mastering to someone else. This album is available on iTunes, Spotify and many other online stores. Click the photo for a free streaming link to the album
